Length

The Apartments.com Digital Photographer (DP) is ultimately responsible for capturing photographs and video of apartment communities nationwide to be used in on-line advertisements. Classified Ventures employs professional photographers and videographers who are expected to use their photography skills to create high quality images and video that will show our clients properties in the best manner possible. The Digital Photography position also requires strong customer service skills. Many times, the DP will be the only representative of Apts.com. that the client will ever meet. For this reason, a professional attitude and product knowledge are both a must. In addition to the need of possessing photo and people skills, the DP position places a strong emphasis on time management, troubleshooting abilities, and the flexibility to adjust to a constantly changing market.
The Digital Photography position is a traveling position. Digital Photographers are regionally based and their first priority consists of the properties found within their territory. The DP will be sent out of the home territory upon the DP Manager and VP of Operation’s discretion. Due to the nature of the job and the changing markets within the apartment community business, travel will be a necessity for the DP position.

In addition to the need of possessing photo and people skills, the DP position places a strong emphasis on time management, troubleshooting abilities, and the flexibility to adjust to a constantly changing market.
The Digital Photography position is a traveling position. Digital Photographers are regionally based and their first priority consists of the properties found within their territory. The DP will be sent out of the home territory upon the DP Manager and VP of Operation’s discretion. Due to the nature of the job and the changing markets within the apartment community business, travel will be a necessity for the DP position.
The Digital Photographer works closely with an Ad Production Coordinator (APC) who is responsible for documenting and confirming appointments with the apartment communities. The APC is also responsible for notifying the DP of upcoming trips (when traveling) and establishing needed travel arrangements. Communication between the two roles is imperative since there are many details within each role that affects the other role directly. A strong working relationship between the DP and APC is strongly encouraged to ensure that the entire process runs smoothly.
Overall, strong photo and video skills, customer service, flexibility, the ability to communicate well among co-workers, and a willingness to travel are all key features that are necessary to fill the role of the Digital Photographer. Photoshop and/or video editing knowledge a plus.
